Our story at Rising Horizons

Discover what drives us, our passion for supporting neurodiverse children, and the dedication we bring to every school and family in Kent and Bexley.

About Us

I am a Paediatric Occupational Therapist with over 14 years of post-qualification experience supporting children, young people, and families. My work is centred around helping children reach their full potential through personalised, meaningful, and evidence-based interventions.

I have worked within NHS and non – NHS settings including independent special Education Needs school, primary and secondary schools and children’s development centres.

I specialise in working with neurodiverse children and those with complex needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), Learning Differences, Down’s Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and Global developmental delay.

My approach is always child-centred and occupation-focused, ensuring that each intervention is tailored to the unique strengths and challenges of the child.

Throughout my career within services, I have worked across health, education, and social care systems, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams including schools, CAMHS, social workers, and SEND services. This integrated approach allows me to provide holistic support that truly makes a difference in everyday life—whether that’s improving self-care skills, emotional regulation or school participation.

I am member of the The Royal College of Occupational Therapist (RCOT) with an Honours degree in Occupational Therapy and registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC).

My mission is simple: To support children and young people in developing  functional skills, confidence, and independence they need to thrive in their daily lives.

Our Unique Approach

Our approach is deeply compassionate and highly motivated. We ensure that along with the child or young person, the family is well-supported throughout the intervention process. We are kind, caring, and believe in maintaining effective communication and transparency with all families and staff we work with. This dedication sets us apart, ensuring every child receives the personalised care they deserve.

Our aim is to bridge the gap between health, education, and home by working closely with families and schools to deliver practical, evidence-based strategies that make a real difference.

Whether it’s supporting a child with sensory processing, developing independence in daily activities, or helping schools better understand and meet individual needs, the focus is always on building confidence, skills, and long-term outcomes.

Ultimately,  we hope Rising Horizons becomes a trusted space where children feel supported, families feel heard, and schools feel confident in helping every child reach their full potential.
